We have a whole page dedicated to athlete bench press numbers. Certain athletes stick out either for their horrible numbers (cough cough Kevin Durant) while others stick out like workout warrior, Tiger Woods, who can bench press 315 pounds. I've seen Tiger in person and he is huge guy, at right about 6"2-6"3. I'm 6"2 fluctuating between 230-235. I've benched 300 lbs before, but it was a lot of work, which took about six months from the time I changed my goal from overall fitness to working out for numbers. At that time in my life, I didn't have work and law school like I do now, so number pushing was a whole lot easier. But after reaching my goal, I had a moment of zen and realized that I or anyone else could press 300+ if I had the time. So Tigers numbers are great, just not spectacular when you take into consideration that he gets paid to do it.
