Ben Wallace's Workout

The All-Star game is this evening and although I'm sure we're going to see some great hoops, I still can't forget a couple of years ago when FOUR Pistons made the team. Sometimes I think that the game would be better served by a team of All-Stars from either the West or the East, against the league's best team. So this year the Lakers vs the East All-Stars would make a pretty good game.

Going back to that Pistons All Star game and those Pistons teams, I thought the difference maker was Ben Wallace. A undrafted player, who started off with my Wiz then became an All-Star at center especially for a guy who's 6-10 is simply amazing. So I did some research and got his workout regime from a couple years back. Here's a partial list of what we does, and of course the rest is in the link.

Monday (chest, arms, abs)
Bench Press 6-8 sets 2-10 reps (Ben does a warm up set w/ light weight for 12. Teh he starts with 10 reps and works his way up in weight until he reaches his 2-3 rep max. Then he drops the weight from say 300 to 225 aqnd does 10 reps and then drops to say 185 and does 10)--that is what it says in the magazine
DB flye 6-8 sets 10 reps
BB curl 6-8 sets 10-12 reps
Db curl 6-8 sets 10-12 reps
Tricep pressdown 6-8 sets 10-12 reps
DB lying tri extension 6-8 sets 10-12 reps
Med ball crunch 8 sets 1-36 reps (says in magazine he warms upw/ 15-20 crunches, then w/ a 12lb. med ball he does eight sets in which he build up to 36 reps, starts w/ one rep, then two, then four, then six, then eight, all the way up to 36)
