(Warning a little mini-rantish)
So over the past week and a half since I last posted, I've been doing a lot of soul searching? No, more like Google searching and I came across this Yahoo Answers where I get mentioned as a point of reference. You know you hit it big, when an avatar starts name dropping you to settle an argument, and I guess now is a good time to throw in my two cents. This whole site began when a friend and I were wondering what A-Rod and other athletes were doing in the gym, and if I a young male in his early twenties could still turn pro in something. The latter was resolved very quickly when I actually tried a few of these workouts, but through the sweat I discovered something unique about every, if not most top athletes.
They work their asses off. Yes, they get paid millions of dollars for what they do, but the truth is that not anybody can just step on the field and start raking in the cash. If you step away for a bit, remove the player from their piles of money, you'll notice that there is a major amount of pain involved and its this that you must condition yourself for. And as much as I can only play 5 minute clips showing you such, its full length series like HBO's 24/7 that truly capture what it is to be an athlete. Its winning as did Manny Pacquiao this past weekend, and its getting your ass beat as a final send off into retirement as was experienced by Oscar De La Hoya. This is the point for the website:
